NPDF SCHOLARSHIPS
On May 3, 2007, five $1,000 “Operation Kids” scholarships were given to (1) Dan Rickles of the University of Pennsylvania(2) Lisa Rickles of the University of Pennsylvania (3) LaurenA. Zientek of Quinnipac Univeristy (4) Adriana Greco of Towson University and (5) Emily Goulden of the New England Culinary Institute.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2008 Operation Kids Scholarship that will be awarded on May 1, 2008 at the 2008 Annual Awards Dinner. Scholarships are available to any member or member’s child or grandchild who is pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies. High School applicants must have an 80% average and full time college students must have a minimum GPA average of 3.0.The applicant must submit a 500 word essay on one of the following topics, “What police programs can be implemented in your community to make it a better place to live? Or, “What positive influence have the police made in your life?

The National Police
Defense Foundation through its Operation Safe Cop Program has contributed financial assistance to help pay for the funeral services of Special Agent Barry Bush.
Safe Cop™ has been very active in funding law enforcement programs and services and we need donations to help fund this very important initiative.
